2013
Catie–our founder–moved from South Dakota to Arizona to attend graphic design school and chase her dreams of becoming an NFL cheerleader.
2014
After years of near-misses and gut-wrenching rejections, Catie made the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleading team. She was finally able to live her dream of telling stories and inspiring people through dance.
2015
Catie graduates from graphic design school, adding to her creative skillset.
2017
Catie hung up her pom poms for good. But she missed being in an atmosphere where she was surrounded and empowered by other women. And just like that, the idea of Brunch was born.
2018
We hosted Brunch–a networking and workshopping event that brought women together to connect, reflect and sip champagne.
2020
Thanks to the pandemic, Brunch went digital and we created the first iteration of CatieMenke.com–a website made up of different voices, contributions and creative expressions.
2021
The Make That Ish Beautiful podcast launches, creating another space for women to connect, share stories and network.
2021-2022
Using her graphic design skills as well as her experience in front of the camera, Catie sees an opportunity to empower women in an even more meaningful way, so she pivots CatieMenke.com from a website to a safe, creative space that helps women. Today, CatieMenke.com gives women a platform to share their stories, creative services that help them show up authentically and beautifully, and gorgeous merch that’s dripping with aesthetic.

As an NFL Cheerleader turned graphic designer turned Founder and Creative Director of CatieMenke.com, Catie always had one mission: make that ish beautiful.
On a quest to live a more authentic and more beautiful life, she stumbled upon her calling: to inspire women to hold and share more self-love through creativity and connection...and look gorgeous while doing it. And she does that every single day through her work as a creator and, of course, through CatieMenke.com.

A diasporic indigenous CHamoru writer and storyteller, Alana is passionate about spirituality, self-development, community and intersectional environmentalism. She channels these passions to curate the “People We Admire” column–a series that highlights the creative work and inspiring stories of women, gender nonconforming folks and BIPOC.
